Task&Log ("the App") is a personal productivity application developed by
Lizzian ("we", "us", "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy.
This policy explains what information the App handles, how it is stored,
and the choices you have.
The short version: **Task&Log does not collect, transmit, sell, or share
any of your personal data with us or any third party.** All your content
stays on your device, and — only if you choose to — in your own private
iCloud account.
---
1. Information the App Stores Locally
When you use Task&Log, you create content such as:
- Tasks — title, description, category, priority, status, dates,
reminders, recurrence rule, optional location name, tags
- Logs (journal entries) — title, content, mood, event date,
category, optional location name, tags
- Projects — title, color, icon, notes
- Preferences — appearance (light/dark/system), default reminder
offset, auto-conversion settings
This information is stored in a local database on your device using
Apple's SwiftData framework. It is never transmitted to our servers
because we do not operate any servers.
---
2. iCloud Sync (Optional)
If you are signed in to iCloud on your device and have iCloud Drive
enabled for Task&Log, your data is automatically synchronized to your
private CloudKit database (`iCloud.com.lizzian.tasklog`).
- Sync is handled entirely by Apple's CloudKit service.
- The data is stored in your private iCloud container — neither
Lizzian nor anyone else can access it.
- You may disable sync at any time in iOS Settings → [your name] →
iCloud → Apps Using iCloud.
- Deleting the App or signing out of iCloud removes the local copy;
your iCloud copy is governed by Apple's iCloud terms.
We never receive a copy of your tasks, logs, projects, or any other
content you create.
---
3. Permissions
Task&Log requests one permission:
- Notifications — Used to deliver local reminder alerts before
scheduled tasks. Notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely
on your device. No push notification server is used. You may disable
notifications at any time in iOS Settings.
The App does not request access to your location, camera, microphone,
contacts, photo library, calendar, or health data.
---
4. Analytics, Tracking & Third-Party SDKs
Task&Log contains:
- No analytics SDKs (no Firebase, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.)
- No crash-reporting SDKs (no Crashlytics, Sentry, etc.)
- No advertising SDKs
- No third-party tracking of any kind
- No third-party libraries or dependencies at all
We do not use cookies, identifiers for advertising (IDFA), or any form
of cross-app/website tracking.
---
5. Purchases
Task&Log offers a single one-time in-app purchase ("Task&Log Premium",
US $9.99). Payments are processed entirely by Apple through
StoreKit. We never see your payment method, card number, billing address,
or Apple ID. We only receive a transaction receipt indicating that a
purchase has been made on your device, which is verified locally.
A 7-day free trial is offered before purchase is required. The trial
start date is stored only in the App's local preferences on your
device — no account or server record is created.
---
6. Accounts
Task&Log does not require an account, sign-up, email address, phone
number, or any login. There is no profile, no social feature, and no
way to identify an individual user.
---
7. Data Retention & Deletion
- On-device data: Deleting Task&Log from your device permanently
removes the local database.
- iCloud data: If iCloud sync was enabled, you can clear the
synced data by going to iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud →
Manage Account Storage → Task&Log → Delete Data.
- Within the App: Tasks, logs, and projects can be deleted at any
time. Deleted items may remain in a "Recently Deleted" area for
recovery before being permanently purged.
Because no data leaves your device or your private iCloud container,
there is no central record for us to delete on your behalf.
---
8. Children's Privacy
Task&Log is a general-audience productivity app and is not directed
at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information
from anyone, including children.
---
9. Security
Your data is protected by:
- iOS device security (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID)
- Apple's CloudKit end-to-end transport encryption (when sync is enabled)
- The fact that we do not transmit your data anywhere ourselves
---
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be
reflected in the "Last updated" date above and announced in the App's
release notes.
