Note Dojo Privacy Policy

Note Dojo (“Note Dojo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is designed as a private space for writing down thoughts, setting gentle reminders, and returning to notes later. We believe your notes should remain yours.

This Privacy Policy explains how Note Dojo handles information when you use our iOS app, widgets, notifications, and related features.

Information We Do Not Collect

Note Dojo does not require you to create an account.

We do not collect, sell, rent, or share your personal notes for advertising or marketing purposes.

We do not use third-party advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking, or data brokers.

Notes and App Data

The notes you create in Note Dojo are stored on your device using Apple system storage technologies.

If iCloud sync is enabled on your device, your notes may be synced through Apple’s iCloud/CloudKit services so they can be backed up or available across your Apple devices. We do not operate our own server to read, access, or analyze the contents of your notes.

Your notes may include text you choose to write, categories, custom tags, creation dates, reminder times, and review status.

Widgets

Note Dojo may share a limited set of note information with its iOS widget through Apple’s App Group storage. This may include today’s note summaries, note identifiers, times, and whether a reminder exists.

This information is used only to display your notes in the widget and to open the related note when you tap it.

Notifications

If you choose to enable notifications, Note Dojo may schedule local reminders for notes on your device.

Notification data may include a note identifier so the app can open the correct note when you tap a notification. Notification permissions are controlled by iOS and can be changed at any time in the Settings app.

Tips and In-App Purchases

Note Dojo may offer optional tips through Apple’s In-App Purchase system.

Purchases are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment card details. We may receive limited transaction information from Apple, such as the purchased product identifier and transaction status, in order to complete and validate the purchase.

Analytics and Tracking

Note Dojo does not currently use third-party analytics, advertising tracking, or crash-reporting services that collect user data.

If this changes in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required, update our App Store privacy disclosures.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your data.

We do not share your notes with third parties.

Data may be processed by Apple as part of iOS, iCloud, App Store, notifications, widgets, or In-App Purchase functionality, subject to Apple’s own privacy policies and settings.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your notes remain stored on your device unless you delete them.

You can delete individual notes inside Note Dojo. You can also remove app data by deleting the app from your device. If iCloud sync is enabled, deletion behavior may also depend on your iCloud settings and Apple’s syncing behavior.

Children’s Privacy

Note Dojo is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. Because Note Dojo does not require accounts and does not operate its own note server, we do not knowingly collect children’s personal information.

International Users

Note Dojo may be available in multiple countries and languages. Your information is handled through your device and Apple services according to your Apple ID, iCloud, App Store, and device settings.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Effective Date” above.
